  • If the door opens inward (away from you), shove the thin, flexible blade in back of the molding stop and push or slide the blade to retract the latch
  • If the door opens outward (toward you), slip the knife in from above or below the latch point and jiggle and pull to hook and retract the latch
• Knife can be used to slip spring latch locks during training exercises in fire towers
